ProcedureReviewed

What is a source citation in a procedure?

A source citation is the policy clause, SOP line or regulation article named for a fact in a procedure. Atlas cites a source for every fact, and the citation is one a person can open. Anything that goes beyond the bank's documents is marked as a recommendation, never as a fact.

What can a citation point to?

Every fact cites the regulation article, policy clause or SOP line behind it. The built-in regulation library covers EU and German rules. Banks can also upload their own regulation documents, such as CBUAE guidance, and Atlas cites them like the bank's other documents. Atlas has no built-in library of UAE rules.

What if a sentence is not in the bank's documents?

Atlas marks it as a recommendation, never as a fact, so the reviewer can tell it apart from what the bank's documents say. Atlas also shows conflicts, outdated rules and gaps across documents written at different times. The process owner approves the version after that review, and the citations stay with the approved version.

Common questions

Does Atlas include UAE regulation?

Not as a built-in library. A bank uploads the UAE texts it needs, such as CBUAE guidance, and Atlas cites them like the bank's other documents.

What is a recommendation?

Text Atlas suggests that the bank's documents do not support. The label keeps a reviewer from mistaking it for a source.
